Panasonic | Branding + Advertising Campaign

Localising a global titan.

The goal: reintroduce Panasonic into the South African local market. How: by using a distinctly South African look and feel and partnering with icon Siya Kolisi.

Bold, colourful traditional Ndebele patterns were combined with Panasonic’s distinct global CI, bringing together two cultures in one visually stunning creation. The iconic ‘P’ of the Panasonic logo informed and enriched the effectiveness of the bright shapes.

Partnering with an icon.

Springbok Captain and Rugby World Cup Champion Siya Kolisi made the perfect fit for reintroducing Panasonic to the country, inviting the community to #FollowSiya in his journey as a South African ambassador, as a Rugby legend, and in his quest to make positive global and local changes. A customized logo was created to ensure continuity throughout the campaign.

Highlighting the brand online.

Digital media stretched from website banners, to social posts, and everything in between, creating an instantly recognizable look and feel for the Panasonic South Africa brand in a hugely over saturated online space.

Bringing print to life.

With digital media leading the way, this content was repurposed across a variety of traditional media, including in print, on billboards, and in point-of-sale stores, helping the core South African brand identity to live firmly in the hearts and minds of the local audience.
