Silver Award
This poster for the University Polytechnic of Bragança (IPB), has been published in 24 of February as a memorial of one year of the invasion.  A symbolic act to alert students from all Universities…that although we are here in Portugal, so far away from this weird diabolic mechanism,... kitchens in Dnipro and elsewhere in Ukraine continue to be destroyed and set on fire.
This doll (Nancy – a doll without boots – memorising Nancy Sinatra) and this ‘slightly rusty’ pistol, were found once again among the elements while we make our field of potatoes, onions and beans (family agriculture)…, opening a visual depicting door to another story and another poster. This time Nancy was found in one of the terrible images from war in Ukraine, precisely in Dnipro. She prepares herself a shoot hearted-emoji, capturing the essence of the destroyer's surprised look of that little person. Thus, hoping that this shot will bring peace of mind and clamour waking up his own hordes.
Homage to the music of Nancy Sinatra (Bang Bang - 1966) and ‘Acordai’ from the Portuguese composer Fernando Lopes-Graça song from 1946 and lyrics by José Gomes Ferreira.
