Duane Reade wanted to market their premium nail polish remover pads specifically through a high end, health spa and salon that had a very "zen" aesthetic and decor with a lot of wood, metal, stone, rocks, water/fountains and the like and that catered to clients interested in aesthetics/cosmetic beauty as well as peaceful relaxation. The old packaging was very old and generic and this replacement I designed completely eliminates that generic packaging issue, instead, upgrading the packaging to its proper, premium branding, along with using "Earth" and "metal" tones, with the green and black standing in for leaves/metal and the somewhat magenta flower petals serving as a bright and colorful, floral contrast, with the dual meaning of the black for luxury and the white serving great contrast as well as for purity/serenity.
