In between the abstract and the shape
Eidos.ai
Eidos is a machine learning development company that focuses primarily on computer vision models. They basically teach computers to see and understand the world... not a big deal.

Their name comes from Plato’s theory of forms that established that for every physical object an idea of it exists in the non-physical world which holds all its invariable properties, its essence.

The name is quite on point when we consider this same “essence” is what a computer needs to learn in order to identify and understand any object or living thing in the real world.

We worked together with them to shape their brand. The challenge resided in finding the right representation of the computer mind and its way of seeing.
The "Idea" Concept

We imagine the representation of an “idea” as a mesh that can take any form. The mesh works as the computer's eyes, being able to scan and mold into the shape of any object to find its essential characteristics, and in consequence, understand it.
Visual Elements: Illustrations

We had to define a set of illustrations to be used in a variety of communicational pieces. We played around with the duality of the abstract/tangible world, where one part of the object is solid and another is composed by the mesh, representing the idea of it.
