NEAT Profession App | Mockup | For Interior Designers and their clients

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project consists of creating two versions of a profession app (desktop or tablet, and mobile). The app will function slightly differently on each device where it runs, but it is only required to run on two platforms (phone and tablet, tablet and desktop, or desktop and phone). This new project explores how people use technology to work together and how to design interface systems that can be applied to different platforms.

BRAINSTORMING

SELECTED PROFESSION | INTERIOR DESIGNER - CLIENTS
Interior designers must apply the principles of space planning to bridge the gap between the best design and the client's vision. An interior designer's minimum task is to define the design and ensure the safe performance of a space. They should plan the space to maximize its function and movement, as well as consider airflow, heat, extraction, electrical and plumbing regulations. The following are some of the interior designer's responsibilities:
1. Outline client design objectives.
2. Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
3. Determine the cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
4. Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
5. Source materials and products included in plans.

USER TESTING
I took the following notes from four users and my instructor:
1. You could add a tool section. In that way, the user will have access to essential options.
2. Add a calendar with a section where the user designer can see daily tasks.
3. In the catalog section, you could consider a small picture of the product sample.
4. The first scenario for the designer should be reworded.
5. You could have the list of your clients on the left side of the tablet screen instead of having them in the middle of your screen.

CONCLUSION
I called my profession app NEAT because I thought about how important it is to have high expectations for your final project. Interior design is a beautiful field because it aims to create an enjoyable user experience. Therefore, I designed a profession app to help interior designers and their clients stay informed of the design process in detail. The tablet option was designed for designers, and the mobile version was for clients. Also, the designer can use the desktop version, too, especially when the designer wants to work on 2D and 3D floor plans. I highlighted the tablet version more than the desktop one because a tablet is easy to carry on around. Designers usually visit their project's site, and there are many things to consider, such as taking pictures of some details, making measurements of different rooms, and creating rough sketches for their clients.
On the other hand, we have clients who are anxious to see the progress of their projects because they are paying a lot of money, and it is frustrating if you do not see any progress. One of the main features available for clients is the VR option. The designer will be available to create the VR after choosing the final finishes that the client approves. After having the client's selections, the professional app will create a VR video. The virtual video will show the client how their project would look like before putting everything in place and speaking out about all changes to be done.
The project of designing a profession app helped me to understand two different sides, the designer's and the client's preferences. That was interesting because each has different needs, but at the same time, they are connected. I enjoyed this assignment because it let me grow as a graphic design student. I know that this project's details will be more significant in the real graphic design field. This kind of project prepares me for the real graphic design world.
