What we did: Branding | Web
The peaceful aesthetic of meaningful gift giving
Givr
Misty and Lacie are two LA based entrepreneurs who wanted to work in a meaningful project that spoke to them. That's why they started Givr. An e-commerce to find unique gifts specially tailored for your recipients where all products are from mission driven companies.

Choosing the right gift for that special person in your life and remembering all important dates is no walk in the park. A common scenario is to end up getting a generic gift from a retail store, which not only won't be very significant for the recipient, but the quality, materials an precedence of the product is uncertain.

Misty and Lacie wanted to put their efforts to contribute in making a positive impact to the community and environment while offering these unique and high quality products from amazing vendors.

They asked us to work on their brand identity and product design, where the main goal was to reflect this high quality and caring feel.
The Concept: A spark of joy

As we kicked off, we focused on 'uniqueness' as a primary value of the company's personality in order to create their visual identity. When thinking about Givr’s target audience we considered users who enjoy acquiring high quality products, and the fact that these products come from mission driven companies would contribute to making them even more special.

The highlight on the logo represents that conceptual spark that shines on ‘new things’ and a more metaphorical spark of joy that gift giving and helping others can cause. We use this spark as the main symbol for the visual aesthetic to be based upon.
Iconography

Among the assets that compose the product we created a set of badges that communicated the different mission driven categories. The challenge was to evoke the meaning of each of them while keeping the shape of the spark as a starting point.
