ABOUT PROJECT
Temporary installation at the Redbull's hip-hop festival. An interactive table and two walls with projections were installed in the chillout zone. Visitors were invited to be a VJs.
The installation plays the techno mix heard in the room. The visitor is offered several presets for generative graphics scenes. Scenes appear on the side walls and are generated in real time. Visualization responds to audio triggers and current scenes settings. At any time, the visitor can take a snapshot, which is saved in the session folder. Through the interactive gallery, the visitor selects one of the images and sends it to his or her mail. At the end of the session, the visitor received a vinyl event's mix with a unique cover made by him or her.

To optimize the development and installation work, the patch is divided into separate processes.
MAIN patch
▸A central logical unit that collects UI parameters for content management and processes installation states
▸UI visualization block. For each generative scene, the UI block is assembled from the basic widgets on the fly. The composition of the widgets is determined by the settings inside the container with the visualization scene
▸A block with generative scenes. A logic developed by a colleague of mine is used to optimize performance. The central idea is that if the scene is not rendered it also does not cook
EXTRA patchES
▸WatchDog patch. Its function is to track the status of other patches. If any of the patches being tracked is down, it will automatically start by WD.
▸A patch for saving snapshots to the session's temporary folder. This patch also sends the user-selected image to print
