Note from the painter:
A photography project I based on the illustrations from one of my favorite childhood books Faeries described and written by Brian Fround & Alan Lee. My love for fairies and Celtic culture began when my mom gave me this book back in second grade. I think it was actually the start of my love of fantasy and other dimensions. I painted each of the people here and photographed them all. Each face painting is meant to bring a section of this book to life through my eyes.
