Welcome to the age of technology. In my past experience as a digital artist, I more than often find myself immersed in the Online world rather than the “real world”, and this experience has bought my attention to the unique internet related social issues. I took an interest in this phenomenon and soon discovered that the people around me had the same epiphany. In my collection of ironic-humor themed comic strips, I have combined ancient Chinese-proverb with my findings on these social issues, and taken on a different perspective on the meaning of the proverbs to better fit our current internet culture.
I have chosen to present my artwork in an exaggerated and humourous manner to emphasize and poke fun at the idea.
This volume is about Internet scams. The development of the Internet has led to more and more online purchases, and people are unable to check the goods in person and therefore buy many fake goods. In China, there is a traditional story about a man who had a sheep's head on his store but was selling dog meat. I used this story to express the scam in online shopping.
This volume is about Internet violence. In China, there is a proverb that only children speak with impunity, even if those words are offensive. So I guess people who attack people on the internet are a bunch of giant infants.
This volume is about Internet rumors. This is a flashback story describing how a very simple post became exaggerated. In China, there is a common saying "Three men make a tiger", which means that if enough people spread rumors, things will get out of the truth and become ridiculous. And with the development of the Internet, rumors are becoming easier to spread, often leading us to receive the wrong information.
This volume is about spamming on the Internet. Once I was browsing some websites, and I used to see pornographic ads all over the pages. Those annoying porn ads had absolutely no relationship with the content of the web page, they always appeared when I was not ready for them. I think this excessive amount of porn ads are harmful.

Because it's related to the Internet, I take some new technology to represent it.
This is a free interactive exhibition, showing only the first page of the zines. Viewers can download an app in their mobile phones and use their mobile phones to spy on the stories behind these network events in the form of augmented reality technology. The interaction between the audience and the work (whether it's a series of actions or forms) is indispensable part of the my works.
