FINAL WORK.

I was originally inspired by NCT127's song, Cherry Bomb, for this project. Originally I found this song on an Apple Watch advertisement in 2017, and I wanted to go with something upbeat and fun. Eventually while I did find out that there was a no copyright music requirement, I stuck to this Kit Kat, as I had never seen this flavour before and I thought it was interesting.

Below is my visual style and the mood board. Like I said above, I was very much inspired by the song and my colour scheme follows the colours of the album cover, and other pops of colour to bring more vibrancy and fun to the video. I also wanted to play with typography movements and morphing, along with comic like effects and style to emphasise on the energy that was brought to the video.

Below is the Animatic and the Storyboarding. At this point in time I was playing around with the timing, and realised that the song had to be edited in After Effects later on. But I mainly fleshed out the rough idea I had for the video

Below, the pink style frames were the style prototypes where I originally forced myself to stick to the colour scheme of the album cover, but eventually I used a colour with more contrast to bring out the vibrance of the brownie. At some point the effects in the background became the focal point due to the similarities in colour, so I changed the background to make the brownie stand out more.

Here is the base animation for the morphing of the words to the chocolate bar. Afterwards I would recreate the frames in Illustrator and import the more refined version into After effects as a Image Sequence. I continued this for majority of the Transition frames, so that it could keep the seamless clean animated look as adobe animate doesn't have much option to customise the artwork done and it would've been a lot more messy and choppy.
