The theme of the 2012 published second issue of the Voltaire Magazine was Berlin. In Germany Berlin is considered as a promised land for the creative scene. Many creative people move there with the hope that their drems will come true, but a lot of people think alike. So in fact the creative scene in Berlin is extremely competitive.

The illustration exemplifys the transfigured view of many towards the city. Some kind of a hidden fabled fairy-world, which has to be explored. A place, that harbors good but also terror and which is not just a land where milk and honey floats.
