dalci was founded by Najwa Khan, MPH, a health advocate. Najwa faced years of chronic pain & gut issues due to a processed diet. Living a healthy & holistic lifestyle enabled her to be pain free but it came at a cost. The name dalci is derived from dalchini, cinnamon in Bengali. dalci represents home, love, and treating yourself.

Dalci was founded by Najwa Khan, MPH, a health advocate. Najwa faced years of chronic pain & gut issues due to a processed diet. Living a healthy & holistic lifestyle enabled her to be pain free but it came at a cost.




Our challenge was to communicate healthy and fun aspect of the Dalci products across the lineup. Although the brownies are produced to be healthy, organic, non-GMO and gluten free, the look and the branding was not to be bounded strictly to those rules and guidelines.




One of the biggest challenges Najwa would face is finding clean desserts that actually taste good and are actually clean. She was tired of bars & "healthy" snacks made with junk like natural flavors, bad oils (palm, canola, etc), & sugar alcohols.




The colors used on each product indirectly represent the core ingredients and flavors used in the specific brownie type. The goal was to bring to the table something whimsical, colorful, fun but still maintaining that healthy aspect of it, meaning that eating healthy can be indeed fun!
