About Team Liquid
Team Liquid is a professional eSports organization that fields teams in various games, including League of Legends (LoL). The team was founded in 2000 and is based in the United States. Team Liquid's League of Legends team has been one of the most successful teams in North America, consistently placing high in regional and international competitions.
In the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), Team Liquid has won multiple championships, including the Spring Split in 2018, 2019, and 2020, as well as the Summer Split in 2018 and 2019. The team has also represented North America at the League of Legends World Championship several times, with their best finish being fourth place in 2019.
The organization has a large and dedicated fan base, and the team has a strong presence on social media and streaming platforms like Twitch. Team Liquid has also been sponsored by various companies, including SAP, Honda, and Marvel.
Project Brief
The main goal for this project was to introduce the players for Team Liquid League of Legends team. This project was driven by the existing aesthetic of Team Liquid and their organization as whole. The social media posts and announcements created with consistency in mind and contain design elements representative of the players.
Breakdown of Design Elements
The champion highlighted in each panel was selected based on the play rate of the player who uses them. The splash art of each champion was altered to complement the graphics' overall color scheme. The color palette used was based on the brand color scheme of Team Liquid, while the typography was influenced by the organization's existing branding.
The design components utilized in these graphics were motivated by Team Liquid's current branding, as well as by recent graphics produced for the organization.
