In my thesis campaign of Bechalors of Graphic designing for the kids-wear brand Ethnic, I aimed to raise awareness about the sensitive issue of child sexual abuse through a new perspective. I presented abuser and the act of abuse as an illusion, in order to educate parents and children about the tactics that abusers use to gain trust and access to their victims. I did a thorough research, come up with concepts and writings, then designed three books, as well as several DVCs and social media content to support this campaign.
To empower children, in the third book, the campaign also introduces the Butterfly Rule, a simple and easy-to-understand concept that teaches kids about secret touches and how to protect themselves from abuse. By addressing the issue directly with children, the campaign hopes to empower them to speak out if they experience any form of abuse.
