So, my degree may have been in something entirely unrelated to design (Philosophy...), but I still spent a fair amount of time doing design work (or, an unfair amount if you asked my supervisors...). Obviously I'd do most of this differently now, but there's a larger variety of work here than I get to do these days, so I figure it's worth having it all around
Created a new logo and identity - based on a revolving series of almost-chess pieces (the previous logo had a larger (permanent) grid structure). Icons on the board change depending on context (hammer/sickle for a Marxism talk, for example). Created promotional material for various events (posters, facebook images, blog images). Set up and themed a (responsive) website (that my successor appears to have managed to break somewhat…).
Three terms worth of posters for the Cambridge Union Society; one term’s wall planner; and one large banner (hung across the street outside the building - see here).
Here’s a bunch of other work. MAdSOC logo; Croquet poster (as part of MAdSOC); The King’s Jest, stand up comedy; OSCA poster; Taking Care of Baby (play) poster; poster for the Punt Committee; section titles for Bridge magazine in the Cambridge Student.
Developed identity (icon was pre-existing, text was cleaned up) through posters, forms, and web graphics (the theme isn’t mine, though). Set up and maintained a website listing ongoing film projects in Cambridge, and organising equipment rentals.
