Bosnia: Recovery from war after 30 years

This photo series is transmitting Bosnia's capital Sarajevo diversified identity, the occurring recovery phase & bitterness of the post-war effect.

Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in southeastern Europe. The city was greatly affected by the Bosnian War, which lasted from 1992 to 1995, during which the city was under siege for over three years. The war resulted in widespread destruction, loss of life, and displacement of residents.

In 2023, more than 25 years after the end of the war, Sarajevo has largely rebuilt and recovered, but the effects of the conflict still linger. The scars of the war can be seen in the form of bullet-riddled buildings, a quiet city, still feeling bitter and tired, memorials to the victims, and many residents continue to struggle with the trauma of the violence they experienced.

This is an on-going photo story. to document Sarajevo and other Bosnian cities and how they still continue recovery.
