Saudade - 2021 project
"Saudade" will be a new special chocolate, made with Brazilian cocoa beans from the state of Pará, by the chocolatier Groen and Co, which currently operates in Amsterdam, Netherlands. For that, it was necessary to elaborate a packaging that would bring all the meaning of this product to the brand and its creator, who is also Brazilian. "Saudade" is a unique word in Portuguese that translates the feeling of when we miss something or someone. The cocoa fruits appear in this picture accompanied by the well-known and very Brazilian Canindé macaw thus bringing a little Brazilianness to Amsterdam. Using a predominance of cool colors, it was possible to bring an air of nostalgia to the final result.
For the packaging label work, we applied the same typography used by the brand, but then we designed a special logo for the product, which was handmade, to bring an extra touch of craftsmanship and humanity to the composition with its irregular character. We also used golden and blue sparkling textures, thus bringing an additional sophistication to the packaging.
