Photo: Chaos Demonstration Against the Omnibus Law in Malang
Workers and students staged a demonstration to reject the Job Creation Bill which had been approved by the Regional Representatives Council. The atmosphere of this demonstration took place on Thursday (8/10/2022) in front of the Regional People's Legislative Assembly Building and Malang City Hall in East Java, Indonesia. The demonstration started peacefully, but moments later there was chaos when the demonstrators started throwing stones into the building, damaging public facilities, and setting off firecrackers. The police were on alert and managed to temporarily calm the demonstrators before the demonstration ended in chaos again.
