"Conversations" is an investigation into the information held within an image.

In this experiment experiment, I photographed Rachel Thomas and her sister Grace randomly over the course of a single conversation. Every aspect of each image is identical except for the faces they made at that moment. They both know exactly what occurred through that conversation, but you, the viewer, are left with only a fraction of this information.

Despite this deliberate lack of information, I have found that it is human nature for the brain to fill in the gaps itself.
We, at our very core, are storytellers. We weave connections and meaning into everything around us. So, I am curious:

What story do you see?
