A good friend of mine was looking for a graphic designer to help out for an awards ceremony and asked me in October-November if I could do it in December. I thought "sure, why not" since I'd have less on my plate then. In December I had to get the first task done, which was a save the date mailer for the PRisms, an awards ceremony for Public Relations campaigns.
In late January, they prepared to move from a physical submission process which saved on a lot of shipping and heavy lifting through the use of an online submissions process. I was asked to do an image for their web image-cycler to announce the submission process.
With that done, an invitation to the event could be extended to past guests as well as new businesses.
Being the way that I am, design themes evolve as I use and work on them to a more and more refined state. The idea for the invite and save the date cards became something of the clean and simple look, while I wanted to incorporate more movement into the design in the posters.
The next 5 images are made to be 3"x4" posters placed on easels.
The next two are from the powerpoint template which would be used to announce the awards.
