For this piece, I applied traditional Taiwanese cultures and express Taiwanese spirits.
From the top to the bottom are distinct aspects of Hakka, Minnan, and Mainland veteran village culture.
The elements portrayed include used tea picking, Hakka Lei Cha, lion dance and oiled paper umbrellas to represent Hakka culture, focusing on the spirit of hard work and tenacity.
I used a puppet show, Tang Yuan, the national orchestra, an art pavilion, and a traditional temple combined with the spirit of justice and respect of Minnan culture.
As for veteran village culture, I used elements such as making cured meat, family work, making dumplings, and serving tea. Because the veteran village accepts people from different regions in China, I focused on their spirit to embrace homesickness and inclusiveness.
