(Work In Progress) 3D Sci-fi model. D.P.S.M. (Drop Point Sentry Module).

10 unique objects so far sculpted in high detail, 100% quad’s and poly count optimised (all geometry, no textures yet).

Concept: The module will be air dropped to strategic positions in the field, and different modules will be available for the top section e.g. a weapons array for ground to air / ground to ground combat, a communications array, a troop drop station, positioning thruster module, shield generator etc... Four automated perimeter defence guns surround the module and the landing gear automatically adjusts from hydraulic pads to a grapple depending on the terrain.
 
This is my own concept design that I am designing and modelling in my spare time as a personal project. The landing module is already rigged with controllers for animation and I will start work on textures for the landing module, and modelling the first top module, the Weapons Array later in the year.
