This personal project was inspired by my coworkers of four years. Working as a lifeguard at the YMCA is a unique job opportunity as it comes with many responsibilities that require an acute attention to detail and life saving techniques. These images were captured on black and white film using a Nikon f100. I aimed to tell the story of a lifeguard as it is not a glamorous lifestyle but it is one that must be done in order to keep people safe.
