Croco Rebranding

Croco is a well known and prestigious Romanian brand that makes salted brezels, crackers, sticks and more. I've always wanted to rebrand something similar so I've started a new challenge called '2 hours quick rebranding' and I'm not quite sure if I'll stick to food or also try other categories.

The '2 hours quick rebranding' series is intended just for fun and nothing else. Don't take this too seriously. I'm not even doing a research - just taking the brand as I know it and just guessing the brand strategy.

Croco's archetype must be jester. The funny crocodile clearly suggests that. Let's take the original product and criticise it a bit. If anyone's interested, here's the website.
As you can see the look and feel of this brand has a 90's vibe. No one ever rebranded this, not even for fun (as I did). The logo looks like it was created in PowerPoint. The font is pretty boring and has a dark blue outline and a dark shadow. There are two ovals overlaying behind it.

I don't like the colours at all, especially the aggressive red. It could've been a good idea back then, but now there are so many products in store you won't notice it. The only colour I'd keep would be a variant of green from the crocodile mascot.

The packaging is pretty boring but uses real images of its content which isn't really bad... sometimes.

Let's see what I can do in 2 hours.
I chose a funny rounded font for the name Croco and changed a bit on letters here and there. I added some crocodile teeth on the letter 'C'. Then I chose a font called Lobsta Masta Regular which gives a retro vibe to the whole thing.

I chose 4 new colours and illustrated some crackers and brezels. Keep it simple, I always say. Thought that 3 packaging designs would look even better - one is a large bag and the other two are slim and nice.
