I owned an Airsoft gun that was based on the British sniper rifle the L96. I set the gun on my desk and used it as a physical model as reference. Having a physical model to aid in the transfer to digital seems to be muchmore effective than simply using pictures, unless the pictures are for determining scale. The original gun does not have a suppressor, a magazine, and rounds shown in the model. The amount of polygons in this model is absurdly high, somewhere around a quarter-million polygons. However, it looks quite realisitic with the glossy/matte finish.
