______
Brief: Hidden places are all around: in your city, in your neighborhood and even in your heart. There are spots you are rarely aware of, locations that host a secret. Bushes provide the wildlife with a habitat for living, forgotten backyards embrace the relicts of the past, countries with low banking transparency give shelter to tax evaders, and hidden directories collect web cookies from the browser to remember your navigation habits.
Obviously, hidden places are rare and hard to get to. But they are not invisible nor out of reach! So discover the hidden places in your immediate environment and look for the stories behind them. For your research, consider questions like: What do hidden places look like? Tranquility or chaos? Who or what is residing there? And what are the reasons? Is it a natural habitat or an artificial environment? Is the space limited to a single location or does it extend to multiple sites?
Document your research and then visualize the results. Collect characteristics of the locations and identify patterns. Plot your locations on a large-scale map of at least A1. In your design process, consider the aspect of mobility!
_____
In this project, i focused on hissed construction sites. Because there is urban transformation going on in İstanbul. Even this 'haussmannization' project is not covering my neighborhood, there are many constructions by which I am personally disturbed. This is basically a map which shows this construction sites in Cihangir. I started with pointing all the construction sites and then I took photos of them. I grouped the photos according to their hiding materials.

In this project, I worked with Niels Schrader. Thanks Niels!
