Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a 501 non-profit organization whose mission is to “create and support the one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth”. In 2020, I had the pleasure of designing for their Pensacola gala. The theme for the gala was Havana Nights, and I directed the entire project and presented it to the gala committee. My inspiration was the glamor and elegance of Havana in the 1950s. After a couple of meetings, the committee decided to go with my proposal for the theme. I illustrated and hand-lettered the sponsorship package, and the same designs were used as inspiration for all of the supporting material for the gala.
