BRIEFING
The angolan government required the design of a stand to represent the angolan telecommunication companies at the ITU Telecom World 2011 show to take place in Geneva (CH).
The stand had to be highly visible and had to express, in some way, the angolan identity and a sense of technological achievement.

CONCEPT
To provide the stand with an attractive iconic shape that would at the same time allow for an easy access of the visiting public two L shaped volumes were overlapped forming to open corners a central “square” and two auditorium like stairs that gave access to two exhibition areas on the upper level.

The suspended corners intentionally give the impression of defying gravity further emphasizing the visual impact of the stand.

On two sides of the stand, large openings are covered with vertical elements that are lit by LEDs that dynamically reproduce the colours that identify the angolan flag.
