The national alcoholic drink of Ireland, obtained by distillation of barley malt or grain, followed by aging alcohol in oak barrels. During aging, it has a strength of 40-80%, sold diluted to 40-60%. If whiskey is obtained by blending,then the aging time of the youngest whiskey included in the blend is indicated on the bottle.
