Hangeul Day 2023 Illustrations
Hangeul Day is celebrated every year on October 9. It commemorates the invention of the Korean writing system.
The Korean Cultural Center of New York asked me to create a series of illustrated quizzes to engage with their community on social media. These illustrations highlight Korean homonyms (words that sound the same but mean different things).
Nearly 1000 people participated in the quiz on Instagram and 40 winners were randomly chosen to receive prizes.
These illustrations were then turned into a playful animated video by my talented animator friend Matt.
