The concept for this 2023 calendar is Ada McD, Ada Kita. (Where There's McD, There's Us)
Each McDonald’s menu represents a specific moment. For example
Big Mac for celebration, French Fries resonates togetherness,
Apple Pie relates to warmth, and McNuggets for friendship.
We created optical-illusion-style illustration to make a visual similarities between moments and the menu of the month using the play of lights, shadow, and color to portray the menu. Can you spot the menu within the illustrated moment?
We made vector menu icons to highlight every public holidays (in Indonesia we call them as 'red dates') and make a clever play of the vector, for example the Cheeseburger or Fish Fillet layers separated for each week to create the layers of goodness inside.
We attached activities in the last page of the calendar to make paper craft Bic Mac and French Fries, which is made for family and friends to enjoy.
