SENIOR CENTER CLUJ NAPOCA ROMANIA
In a Western society the pyramid begins to turn more and more due to the aging population and low birth rate increasing, residential centers for the elderly start to become increasingly common.
So I tried to treat this project starting of with special needs for elderly who arrive in such residential centers that do not bear loneliness or the idea of being a burden due to differences in mentality.
Thus an important element in this life of elderly people, who arrive in such centers is diverse sociolasing and creative activities. For this reason the building is equipped with various communities in social spaces in direct relationship with the 'hotel&nursing' accommodation. That is also why the rooms are mostly equipped with two beds and bathroom, allowing easy access.
What characterizes this project are patios that enable a luxuriant nature life view. From this point of view the building location is great near the forest Faget - Cluj Napoca Romania.
Regarding the building composition, it has the accommodations organized in two volumes S+P+1 articulated along an access corridor that was created to be used as a huge open-space area filled with different workshop - rooms, conference halls, an Amphitheater and Chapel. Under the building food supply accommodation are located in the basement, kitchen respectively with preparation and dining area.
