President Trump knew his chance of loosing were possible that is why thought he would have the power to overturn the election by claiming that he did win the election. He did not care about the fact on what the rule for the constitution played he would think that since as long as he was president that he could do what-ever he wanted without have to go by any rules.On the other hand the president knew while he was in office that he had the power to do what he wanted and that is why he told his supporters that the election had been stolen from him, meaning that for those voters who did not vote for me would state that you wont have a country anymore if you do know fight, take revenge for the country, to state that as long as was in power that i remain in-charge of what happens when it comes to who gets the most votes.Trump knew that the way he was running the country was something that not everyone agreed with by starting lies about the election. Trump knew in his power that he had several chances of loosing but he would admit that as long as he was president, he could do the illegal act but starting lies that the election had been rigged. Elections are not always about what is far, they are about the People.
