Poster design candidate for the Opinion Festival 2022
The Opinion Festival (Arvamusfestival) is a meeting place for all layers of society, giving a platform for different worldviews. Its mission is to improve debate culture and civic education. The Festival is free of charge and open to everyone in Estonia and beyond who would like to discuss and tackle issues that matter for all of us.
As I was exploring ideas surrounding the festival I realised, that the most important part on the opinion festival for me is that it truly is open for everyone, from all backgrounds. I continued exploring different aspects that could represent this idea. First I played around with the idea of drawing different windows to depict the differences that can all come together. Everyone uses the windowsill in their own way. But what truly resonated with me was the idea of people having different sides and opinions, which reminded me of the rubics cube - it can have so many different combinations of colours on all sides.
My poster idea depicts all the different sides of people coming together and connecting during the festival.
