Pink Smoke (ELO 2014) is a murder mystery about a stripper who ends up getting killed. The story is told through three men, who all have a different point of view of what happened. The movie deals with transformation through subjectivity, i.e. how things appear different depending on who's looking at them.
The key idea was to cast lights and shadows and have a rough hand-made feel to the opening sequence that would match the original footage. We wanted the titles to feel elusive and hidden, like flashes of memory.
The title sequence was selected for the 2014 MOTYF festival (International students' moving type festival).
