Don't judge a book by its cover. We've all heard that phrase before, but often that's exactly what we do before buying a new book for our collection. You're looking at an illustration and design on the novel and start to paint a picture of the story in your mind.
So when I created this book cover I tried to capture the essence of the story for the reader to get engaged. In this process, I first painted and drew the motive with different art supplies. Then I combined the illustration with the whole layout and the typography. In the course of the process, I created the letters of the title and the subtitle after some research, in the field of calligraphy, so that it corresponds to the theme of the novel.
