This is a lathe turned pen that was sanded and polished to achieve the final product. Sketchup was used to visualise the form from a 2D drawing. To achieve the pens curved features, initially the stepping technique was used to remove large amounts of unneeded plastic from the rod stock form. Sanding was then carried out to reduce imperfections and improve the smooth finish created on the lathe. Polishing was then used to complete the project.
