Tripoli-Lebanon waste: "Mountain of Death" disintegrates

This is my first collaboration with Joudy al Asmar, and ssafir Al-Arabi (AsA)- an independent media platform- The journalist, Joudy wanted to have 3 infographs to support the article about Tripoli waste dump and the catastrophic effects in the area.
-The first infograph to show the effect of pollutants resulting from the Tripoli landfill on the Mediteranean sea and Abu Ali river.
-The second infographic to represent the stages of waste mountain development since 1975 until today.
-The third to show the gases emitted from the landfill in its dormant and burning modes.
This article won the First Prize in "Supporting the Right to Access to Information and Investigative Journalism on Environmental Issues in the Middle East and North Africa Region" program, organized by ARTICLE 19 MENA, OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University, and the Institute of Journalism and News Sciences in Tunis.
