Dream Gazer

The Dream Gazer toy that I created is a toy in which one plays by dreaming. The design of the light shown inside of the head represents the player’s mind as they dream. Isolation is a time to reflect by one’s self and expand one’s mind. I used this concept of isolation to help the users experience this process because isolation expands the mind to dream and think about the wonderful possibilities of the universe. By playing with the Dream Gazer the player can gaze into the depths of their own mind to reflect and expand their dreams.
Dreams are the stories that everyone creates in their mind during isolation. We dream of what could be and instances that may never come to pass yet are held within our hearts. Empathy with real people is hard to find in isolation, so by playing with the Dream Gazer one can create their own stories and characters to find empathy with. It is sometimes hard to dream in this noisy world when we are not in isolation, so the Dream Gazer brings the player back to their own mind as if they were again in isolation. The light show begins and changes by the player pressing the triangles.
