The concept note
The shoot is the replicate version of the brand Maison Margiela ; a French Luxury Fashion house founded in 1988 and headquartered in Paris. The House produces both Haute Couture and ready to wear in which the former influencing the designs of the latter.
Maison Margiela is a reflection of a raw, unfinished and grunge vibe that makes it stand out amongst a crowded market. This label was first noticed for its unorthodox design techniques wherein the brand held its initial live shows in unusual settings like an empty metro station or street corner. Often, the model faces are obscured by fabric or long hair to draw direct attention to the clothes and design. Maison Margiela is very passionate about the world of fashion as well as challenging social and fashion norms.
