CONSERVATION COLORADO 2022

Conservation Colorado works to protect Colorado's climate, air, land, water and communities through organizing, advocacy and elections.

I joined Conservation Colorado in October 2022 and was given the keys to shape an eye-catching brand. Within this project you will find various campaigns that ranged from fundraising, spreading awareness, educating the general public and celebrating Conservation Colorado's 2021 wins.

WINTER UPDATE

The Winter Update is a stewardship piece for supporters and members illustrating Conservation Colorado's achievements from 2022 and upcoming goals for the future.

LEGISLATIVE SESSION

Legislative session is the period of time in which a legislature, in both parliamentary and presidential systems, is convened for purpose of lawmaking. As this year’s legislative session began, we pointed to 2022’s dirty air days, hotter temperatures, drought, and the worst wildfire in Colorado history as a call for our leaders to take action. From day one, we highlighted the important role that our state leaders play in protecting our air, lands, water, and communities.

BUILD BACK BETTER

In the midst of the Marshall Fire, the most destructive fire in Colorado's history, President Biden visisted Colorado to witness the devastation and blackened aftermath. President biden called the Marshall fire a "blinking code red" for the nation on climate change. "We can't ignore the reality that these fires are being superchared by climate change."  He also took this opportunity to pitch his stalled "Build Back Better" bill, which emphasized the resources it includes for advancing clean energy development.

CAMP HALE-CONTINENTAL DIVIDE NATIONAL MONUMENT

In October 2022, President Biden traveled to Colorado once again to declare his first National Monument. The rugged landscape of Camp Hale-Continental Divide serves as a testament to a pivotal moment in America's military history as well as the ancestral homeland of the Ute Tribes and is treasured for its historical and spiritual significance.

INFLATION REDUCTION ACT

The Inflation Reduction Act is the most significant legislation in U.S.history to takcle the climate crists and strengthen American energy security. It will lower energy costs for households and businesses, create manufacturing jobs for American workers, and deliver a clean, secure and healthy future for our children and grandchildren.

VOICES OF COLORADO

"Voices of Colorado/Voces de Colorado" is Conservation Colorado's bilingual story-telling blog. We feel that Colorado's community of members are the driving force behind environmental wins from your backyard to the state Capitol.
