OBJECTIVE
To understand an object from a different perspective through the use of mixed materials, design elements and meanings.

PROCESS & SOLUTION
I began by playing with blue dye in water and onto white surfaces to give the illusion of ink changed by water. Additionally, I experimented with computer tools and brushes to create a water look on type. The question “How Does It Make You Feel?” derived from a list of fifty questions created about the sounds of water and what I wonder about water sounds. After playing with ink and water, I decided to print out blue pages and transform the blocks of color through the use of water. I later used this method on a list of words that derived from initial mind maps, such as, pour, soak, sprinkle, calm, relax, waves, shower and wet. The words were placed onto individual pages and doused with different treatments of water. Each water experimentation was meant to indicate the action of the word and how the materials would be effected by the water. Through the process, I decided to remove the blue colors that we typically associate water with and use bright and vibrant colors to help show water sounds in a new perspective.
