In Winter 2021, I was still thinking about the pandemic and the anxiety I felt leaving my apartment every day. I chose to use mixed media in this piece for texture and symbolism through a quickly done needle and thread. I felt like I opened and closed a lot of doors with many mixed emotions, terrified of an unknown future all throughout the year which created this image of life being a hallway of doors with tracked in snow on the ground.
