"A client contacted me with a request to create a second cafe-bakery in a young chain of cafes. The main goal was to create the most functional space with a calm and cozy atmosphere. To achieve this, I used grey, blue and terracotta accent colors, and the layout was created based on the location of furniture and equipment, but not vice versa."
Start designing
The object is located in a new building, and the premises were already rented out with a pre-finishing finish. A huge nuance was the supporting structure of the wall, which divided the room and which had to be taken into account when planning the premises.
Layout
"This is my first project completely created in Revit. By the way, an excellent tool for quick and high-quality creation of a project of both interior and buildings."
Main hall
The room of the hall occupies only 24 square meters. Nevertheless, even in such a small area, it was possible to place a full-fledged bar counter with showcases and a cash register, a distribution area, a working back line, and even a stationary oven without violating ergonomics.
Blue was chosen as a complementary color solely because of its properties to calm the human nervous system. Also, this color is an indicator of the direction of movement, thereby highlighting areas of increased interest.
Also in the palette there is an accent color of terracotta, used in the textile upholstery of the sofa to designate the dining area.
Toilet
With the toilet area for cafe guests, everything is somewhat more complicated. Due to the construction of the walls enclosing the common house communications, it became impossible to correctly place the sink. But, at the request of the customer, we still violated the rules and placed the sink in a place that was not the most suitable for this. Let's see if it's really that bad :)
Other areas
The remaining areas of the object, such as the workshop, washing, as well as the locker room and toilet for staff, are not so interesting for creation, so I will not show them.
"In general, it turned out to be a budget and, in my opinion, functional project on 50 square meters of space. We tried to squeeze the maximum out of the provided space, while creating an atmosphere of calm and tranquility."
