Cuida Bem de Mim | Animated series
[EN:Take care of Me]
Cuida Bem de Mim is a 12-episode series, each episode 1 minute long, aimed to showcase positive parenting models. The series deals with themes that help children — and parents — to identify and deal with everyday situations. To educate and help children's development ages 4 through 12 years in a more conscious and influential way.
This is an original idea from the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and the Protection of Children and Young People with Executive Production from GesEntrepreneur which has chosen Itsanashow Studio to be its creative partner in this series.
Taking on each theme, we were asked to develop animated narratives in an appealing, clear, and engaging way. The spectrum between the various ages is broad, from a developmental point of view. illustrations should not be too childish, or too juvenile. We opted for a receptive language adequate for all ages. Strong and vibrant colors, minimalist and identifiable scenarios. Characters with simple and expressive features. In the script, we favored several types of family units (traditional, single parent, homosexuals, legal guardians...). We chose situations and realities that every one of us can relate to while growing up.
The song's lyrics and rhythm had to be "catchy", and capture quickly grab the child/youth's attention. They'd also have to be able to repeat the songs after listening. Following the various development stages, the lyrics and songs became more and more youthful throughout the episodes.
