Final Transformative
For this project, I was asked to create a gesture, logo, transformative, and encyclopedic drawing of an animal of my choosing. I chose to do a coyote as I wanted to give myself a challenge. These are my finalized versions of my design process.
Rough sketches of Logo Designs
First, I sketch and inked my concepts on a 5" x 5" tracing paper. Doing this helped me narrow down what design concept I was looking for. In the end, I decided to go with #11 as I felt it gave the best impression on what my chosen animal was as well as keeping my design concept minimalistic.
Rough sketches of Transformatives
Afterwards, I was asked to create a transformative for my animal. I first sketched out different design concepts to come up with an idea of what direction I wanted to take the transformative in. I decided to go with concept #6 as I thought that would be a unique concept. However, I did add a lot more detail in my final as I wanted to emphasis the pirate aspect within the design.
Gesture Sketches
Then, I began sketching my gesture drawings. I did so by timing myself in 15-30 seconds intervals for a total of 20 gestures to choose from. By, timing myself in this way I was able to get my animal across with the least amount of time spent.
Encyclopedic Drawing
Lastly, I was instructed to create a realistic drawing of my chosen animal. In this way, I could start noticing aspects of my animal that I could use for my finalized pieces.
