Pakistani rock band Xarb’s first music video for their single, Baysabro (“Restless Ones”), takes us on a journey into the imagination of a rag tag bunch of kids who follow their fearless leader into battle.
Featuring children of Afghani refugees who live in the slums of Lahore, Pakistan, this vibrant short film introduces us to a world where kids who have little make the most of what they have—and grapple with the senselessness of war through play.
I was responsible for the Art direction along with designing and making the props for all the individual characters and even coming up with a few of them.
Xarb is a five-member rock band formed in 2009 and based in Lahore, Pakistan. With influences as diverse as Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, BB King, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Junoon, Xarb’s simple, heartfelt music strikes a universal chord. Strongly committed to producing music with meaning, Xarb believes that the only music worth making is the kind that stays with listeners long after the song has ended.
