This student project incorporated the design process in a fun and interesting manner. Elita chose the swan because of its peaceful countenance and fluid line of action. She first began with her encyclopedic drawing which was one of her top two favorites. Then Elita practice gesture and designed a logo. Lastly, the transformation piece of was next. She wanted to capture the theme of Swan Lake, so she decided to incorporate ballet pointe shoes and ribbons. Elita was challenged and pleased with this assignment and the end result. She hopes it reminds others to breathe deeply and notice how elegant nature is.
