In my master thesis »Typographic Encounters« I explored the limits and possibilities of kinetic 3D-typography in augmented environments and pushed the boundaries. Therefore, I developed for the first time a strategy to show complex 3D-type animations in AR on mobile devices.
According to many experts, the use of augmented reality will play a significant role in the future to access the digital overlays. This development opens up a variety of new opportunities and challenges for designers and developers in the co-creation of these three-dimensional worlds. The wording is inspired by the challenges and solutions that arise from diving into unknown spheres.
For those visitors of my exhibition, who don't have mobile devices to access the AR filters, I've created two-dimensional animations, based on the respective AR filters. Below you can see the thesis layout.
