"Tasked by our Teachers to create a poster, I decide to head out on a Journey."
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝚂𝚎𝚎𝚔 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚢𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍".
"During the first phase of my Journey, I traveled and took pictures of many things. From the wonders of Nature to the fruits of life. These pictures, albeit random and simple reflected those two concepts in ways unimaginable for myself. May it be from the genuine beautiful color contrasts that reflected the sweet tenderness of nature, to the insignificant but wonderful little details each and every single flora shared in their beautiful way."

"Beauty takes patience to find, always be wary of that."
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝚊 𝚜𝚖𝚘𝚘𝚝𝚑 𝚜𝚎𝚊 𝚗𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚖𝚊𝚍𝚎 𝚊 𝚜𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚍 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚘𝚛".
"As I began finishing seeking the wonders of nature, I began witnessing Mother Nature herself being so kind as leaving 'gifts' on the ground for me to receive. Not wanting to be rude I therefore accepted, retrieving a bunch of wonderful items in the process so that I could use these as experiments to see what would work with my poster."

"While it was extremely difficult to come up with more creative ways to make more and more experiments (due to the creativity being legitimately sucked out of my own poor brain), I knew that after many decisions I would have been satisfied."
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝚊 𝚙𝚒𝚌𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚑 𝚊 𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚜𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚍𝚜".

"After having completed some experiments, I found myself seeking "more". I wanted to look more into the ways of trying to find what type of poster I really wanted to make. I wanted to improvise, search within my mind to do anything I wanted. But most importantly, I wanted to see the pure limits of what my mind could do by creating pieces that I solely did not look further into. ANYTHING would've counted as a piece, no matter the quality. But I didn't want to end it at there alone. I wanted my experiments to contain the very items I had been given to by Mother Nature."

"This however, shall not justify the fact how tiring it became for me to come up with anything new after many, many grueling attempts. I may have been someone with a head filled with fantasy, having to painstakingly try to come up with interesting concepts over many times was all but a pleasant for the human brain."
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝚊 𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚕𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚋𝚘𝚝𝚑 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚊𝚌𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚍𝚎".
"As I finished my experiments, I began choosing the gifts that I loved the most. Which ones had the best use of items and which ones had the best results...? I began pondering of the ones I chose which fonts would've fit them the best and ended up choosing the ones I felt could make a significant impact when used correctly. And lastly, what function could they be used for after I had been done...? Of course, my personal biases stood in the way of trying to find something I was truly proud of. And the pieces, albeit well done still impacted the way of placement."

"By justifying my own Biases I may have turned certain masterpieces into but simple works of trash. Being your own critique may be simple, but going against ones Bias is a human feat in it's own term."
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚗𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚕 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚎 𝚒𝚝".
"Whilst thinking about ways of implementing the ways of my poster, I felt like experimenting a little more on finding out how I could effectively use fonts in ways that would benefit me. Using some basic words to find out whether they'd work for me or not I decide to practice a few attempts of drawing my own fonts."

"Was it hard? Not really, but was it quite difficcult to keep on focusing after using the human psyche enough? Absolutely."
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊 𝚜𝚘𝚞𝚕 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚖𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏 𝚊𝚜 𝚘𝚗𝚎".
"Having fulfilled the duty of finding out the right ways of using fonts, I decided to try out experimenting with using grids to properly be capable of finding out what ways I could use to make my poster be more 'effective'. If you may know what I mean."

"Therefore learning, that grids are indeed quite new and difficult to experiment with. And that sometimes, you may have to learn to not constantly use illustrations in order to achieve a great poster. The unfamiliarity, albeit surprising for most can quikly prove to be difficult the more you struggle to adapt."

𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝚘𝚏𝚝𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚒𝚗 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞".
"Having collected all of my knowledge in the different fields of creating, I decided to finally pursue the path of creating the poster I always wanted: 'A Manga Cover'. Laugh all you want but for someone such as me it has always been quite a interest to be a bit more creative and experiment more with trying to make something look as enticing as possible to read. And yes, whilst I may be a beginner and unexperienced it shan't mean that I will not at least attempt."

"And attempt I did. This entire Phase was by far the most annoying one due to the sheer amounts of confusement and uncertainty I phased during the time. I wouldn't want to continue any further about it though, it mainly deals with more personal issues."
"𝙽𝚘𝚠 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜, 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚊𝚖𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚙𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸 𝚠𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑 in my process 𝚝𝚛𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚘 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚊 𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚜𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚜𝚏𝚒𝚎𝚍 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑!"
"Due to my lack of knowledge at the beginning, I thought of looking through several Manga Covers, mainly those of 'Chainsaw Man' for their raw chaotic energy that seemingly fit incredibly well with the style of my experiments, seemingly synergizing their chaotic energy together."

"Before I realized we weren't supposed to add our own art into it. Instead, having to solely rely on the gifts given by Mother Nature herself. But this was just a practice to see if it were possible to create a Manga Cover in the first place. Which I thankfully had confirmation for."
"Looking through my experiments, I began loving the 2nd experiment and the fonts used which I personally thought worked very well together, with both the background and the fonts complimenting each other and causing a amazing contrast to form. It was love at first sight."

"But not all love lasts long, there wasn't much difference and it looked rather 'empty' after asking my fellow peers for advice. I disliked it, I felt unimpressed. And I most certainly thought that I was better than this."
"There, I changed the background a bit to make the letters stand out more, it most certainly was an upgrade to the previous one and the letters looked a lot more readable. Surely this was it right..?"

"Not really. Despite having quite a good appearance it didn't seem to 'fit' logically. It looked a bit different, but in a way it looked very differently. Something that wouldn't have a good amount of order, rather something quite messy. Maybe the 2nd one could've been done a bit better to represent the two more...?"
"...Perhaps like this one then...? The 2nd one was a bit changed to look similar to the other two so that it didn't look too different. I'm sure that this must do it! Right...?"

"No. You may have changed the second one to fit with the other two, but now it looks too similar to each other. And nevertheless the fact that the text wasn't really properly readable unless you deliberately left out space. The poster was a mistake. And while it may suck, it would be the better case to start over again."
"After having asked the advice of friends, peers and teachers, I decided to pick experiment 5. Not only as the fonts really synergized well with each other but the darker background, mixed with darker tones made fonts still readable (if I for example changed the color into white, for white and black are like yin and yang)."

"Though, perhaps you could move the text a bit further into the left, it was definitely a good series as told from other people, but perhaps moving certain aspects a little to the left could serve a little more professional in the end? Also, change the third one a little. It looks a bit too similar to the first one for me so, just do that and perhaps we can be satisfied!"
"THERE! That was it, the culmination of a Journey to end up choosing a experiment which I didn't even think of would fit...perhaps that alone is a good lesson for me that I shouldn't always go with the first thing I liked, that perhaps going with something I normally wouldn't choose would be better. We'll see."

"And also learn, that while you may be proud. You nevertheless decided to make something completely different than what was expected. And while your teachers did allow it and you should obviously be proud, please realize that sometimes, just doing the ordinary won't have to be so confusing for you. You've struggled this entire time with trying to keep up with what was expected of you so please. Do yourself a favor and try to not to be too over-ambitious next time. Sometimes, the bare minimum is enough."
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜: "𝙲𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚒𝚝 𝚊 𝚍𝚊𝚢".
"Having fully completed my Journey, I would like to share my feelings surrounding this assignment and how it went for me. I'd say that apart from a period in which I struggled to even remotely understand what I had to hand in it went pretty well! I understood what I had to do during the first halves and managed to perfectly hand in what was expected of me."

"And yet, despite that I still became confused in what I had to do during the later half of the assignment, specifically the end posters for I didn't exactly realize what a good series of posters meant. This together with the amount of times I had to redo and redo and redo certain assignments to empty my full creativity was at times incredibly tiring for myself."

"I've learned in this Journey that beauty can be seen in many, many ways. Let alone in posters, which I've realized contain so much more effort and detail than I first expected. Posters are something I definitely shouldn't take lightly and I have earned respect for the people who do stuff such as this for a living. Not only due to the various techniques that these people implement in order to create these pieces of art, but also for the raw knowledge they posess surrounding styalizing, branding and much more other topics which I currently may not know of. And also, that I miss drawing. Damn do I wanna do that again some time."
"And that's where my Journey ends. All in all, can we please go to the next period already...I want to draw perspectives so badly..."
